Who are we?

Axiot's founder and Principal Consultant is Julian Woodward.

Julian has 20 years of experience in the IT industry, and he has delivered projects for many bluechip organisations including HBOS, Cadbury-Schweppes, Unilever, Philips and BAA. He also has public sector experience in the UK and EU, in both local and national government as well as government agencies. His career has encompassed roles in software product development, internal IT management, and customer-facing consultancy.

Currently he specialises in architecting large information repositories and workflow systems, primarily on the Lotus Notes platform.

Julian's academic background is a BSc (1st) in Computer Science with Digital Electronics from King's College London. Since then he has worked with numerous technologies including (approximately chronologically) C, Assembler, Fortran, Clipper, FoxBase, Visual Basic, SQL, Lotus Notes, Lotus Domino, Lotus QuickPlace, XML, Java, SQL-Server 2005, SharePoint, C#, Reporting Services and Lotus Quickr.

More recently, Julian is one of the founders of the UK Lotus User Group.

When away from the screen, Julian's primary interest is music, and he has a parallel career as a freelance professional classical singer, performing regularly in concerts and recordings.
